Mr. Ben Cameron returned to the Academy to conduct a weekend filled with scene work, audition preparation, and musical theatre dance for our MVPs. We love Ben for his nurturing nature, high expectations, and humor. Looking forward to his return next year!
Michele, Brian, and Cal U MVPs Jason Capello, Molly Malady, Sarah Martik, and Clayton Rush traveled to the Estill World Symposium in Melbourne, Australia to present their work with Estill Voice Training. It was an exciting adventure half-way around the world. They participated on a panel entitled, "From the tallest of talls to the smallest of smalls: The use of EVT across the curriculum" and held a workshop entitled "Finding Your Voice in Character Creation". The panels, workshops, and sessions were fascinating and they all returned ready to share their discoveries.

MVP and T&D student Annabel Lorence at the President's Showcase of Talent.

We were feeling Wicked when Mr. Ben Cameron, an original Broadway cast member of the musical, visited Steele Hall to challenge us with scene study, musical theatre dance, and audition preparation. It was the start of a wonderful relationship for the Academy and the Department of Theatre & Dance.
Our group was invited to perform at the President's Showcase of Talent. This inaugural event helped to raise monies for scholarships at Cal U. We enjoyed sharing our gifts with others!
